This finish, as with all our specialist finishes has a random texture. Sometimes it will appear lighter and other times a little darker and/or possibly with irregular markings. This is a characteristic of Verdigris and should be expected. That said there are variations that we can manipulate to provide the closest match to the one required.
Our Verdigris finish can be achieved on most substrates as with all our other metal finishes and is suitable for indoors and out. It is a particularly attractive finish used outdoors as its viridian toned patina blends beautifully within a natural setting - often seen on old and new garden ornament and statues.
Verdigris is a perfect partner matched with bronze, brass or copper as the oxidisation on any of these metals will produce a similar patina. Oxidisation can take many years to occur naturally but we can achieve the same look through our finishing process in a matter of days.
Possible substrates include metals - galvanized steel, mild steel and stainless steel. Concrete, fibreglass, plastics, MDF, wood, plaster and hardboard.

Amazonia
Amazonia is a lush multi-layered finish. The rich organic green tones are a perfect match when combined with any of our real metal finishes. But brass and Amazonia work particularly well together as the rich organic viridian shades are enhanced by the yellowish gold of the brass. Deep green jewel-like tones make this a striking finish especially with a polished gloss top-coat.
Our Amazonia finish is one step on from natural Verdigris where the green patina is derived from metal oxidisation.
We use a different process when creating Amazonia but the same principals apply. We are essentially creating a patina within the process that produces beautiful organic shapes. We call this the rainforest finish.
Amazonia is suitable for use indoors or out. It can be applied to many substrates including metals, MDF, plastics and more.
We usually apply a gloss top-coat which gives Amazonia a glass-like multi-layered appearance. However we can apply a light coat of sealer which will change the over-all appearance and be more textured to touch.
This is a perfect finish for kitchen splash backs and cupboards, wall panels, shower rooms etc. and furniture finishing for example table tops.
