Bronze Turnstiles
These Gunnebo turnstiles and revolving doors, positioned at one entrance to the Houses of Parliament, were hand-finished in our real bronze coating AM.7 aged bronze. As this period building has many existing bronze fixtures and fittings, AM.7 was chosen to blend seamlessly within the prestigious environment. And maintaining the integrity and heritage of the building design was of key importance.
The molten bronze coating application works particularly well on a project like this. Where perhaps it isn’t possible or unsuitable to produce a solid bronze frame or where cost is a notable factor. Our bronze metal coatings look and feel just like cast bronze and will tarnish and age in exactly the same way.
Of course bronze isn’t just a heritage finish. It looks just as stunning within contemporary interiors and outdoor spaces. Bronze has a natural classic appeal that always conveys quality and elegance. When used in modern environments with clean-cut lines and urban design, bronze is still a significant favourite.
The current overwhelming trend in entrance control is largely stainless steel. But alternative finishes are available for those wanting a more bespoke look. Bronze, copper and brass along with custom painting are all offered using our thermal spray process and specialist paint finish service.
