Bronze Finish - applied metal coating
Applied Bronze Finish - a popular choice within the A.M metal finish range.
There are three standard durable finishes that include AM.2 Antique Bronze - golden and almost copper in tone. AM.7 Aged Bronze which is a natural matt looking finish without a burnished look. And AM.7 Aged Bronze Sealed - our most popular as this replicates classic bronze as we see it on statues, balustrading and ornate architectural decoration. A variety of additional looks or effects can also be achieved by patination or alternative finishing.
Our bronze finish is incredibly versatile, being used within the architectural and interior design market for finishes indoors and out. It reflects a grand opulent feel, appealing to the modern and traditional sectors.
AM.7 & AM.2 Bronze is real molten metal applied then finished accordingly to the required specification.
Robust Outdoor Finish
We first developed our metal finishing process over thirty years ago. Our aim was to produce a metal coating finish that looked and felt like solid cast bronze and aged naturally as only real bronze does. A finish that could be applied to a wide variety of substrates to resemble cast bronze but considerably more cost effective than casting. In that time we have seen how incredibly strong and well performing AM Metal Finishes are. Our bronze finish is suitable for outdoor use, wearing extremely well and continuing to develop a natural patina over time. Evidence shows that they are clearly resistant to frost damage demonstrating great durability on garden ornament, sculpture and signage.
Aged bronze sealed AM.7 and AM.2 are particularly resilient to graffiti attacks. As our metal finishes are 100% applied metal, graffiti can be easily removed. This is useful if the finish is in public space and vulnerable to vandalism.
Gently polished Bronze Finish
In addition to our three standard finishes shown above we also offer a gently polished alternative bronze finish. This is slightly pinker in tone and has a beautiful reflective quality. We can seal this polished finish so that it still remains reflective and retains its colour tone or it can be left unsealed where the bronze will gradually tarnish, eventually turning to AM.7 Aged Bronze Sealed.
Note - gently polished bronze will still feature a pitted effect. This is because of the application method and the surface texture of the substrate which varies. This finish works best on larger curvaceous items and is not suitable for angular sharp edged pieces.
