Blackened steel finish comes in variations of tone, from a deep dense black with hints of swirling blue and brown, to a lighter translucent look which reveals the base steel through the finish. This modern architectural finish can be used for internal wall cladding, furniture, hardware, fixtures & fittings and is often used within building design to provide a contemporary look in both residential and commercial projects.
Important - Please note, standard blackened steel has no anti-corrosion element, therefore we cannot guarantee that rust will not develop within the finish at some point (this could be in days, weeks or years) particularly on mild steel, but also on galvanised and Zintec. This should be seen as apart of the finish aesthetic. If finished blackened steel items are kept in low temperatures where damp air is prevalent, this may cause or accelerate the potential for the above-mentioned rust patination to occur within the finish.
